Hohenheim Teaching Award 2026 for the Work Psychology Lecture  [05.11.26]

Great news from the Chair of Business and Organizational Psychology: The “Work Psychology” lecture taught by Prof. Dr. Ulrike Fasbender has received the Hohenheim Teaching Award 2026 in the category “Best Lecture in Larger Groups.”

Having already been nominated for the award last year, this year's recognition is particularly meaningful.

“I am truly delighted to receive this award and would especially like to thank our students for their nomination and the appreciation they have shown for our teaching,” says Ulrike Fasbender. “In an increasingly digital world, I see lectures as an important space for personal interaction, exchange, and shared learning. Excellent teaching thrives on the active participation of students, their questions, perspectives, and contributions to discussions.”

Fasbender is particularly committed to further strengthening and expanding Business Psychology at the University of Hohenheim. In this context, she views excellent research and high-quality teaching not as competing priorities, but as two sides of the same coin: “Research and teaching can enrich each other. Integrating current research findings into the classroom brings teaching to life and allows students to engage directly with scientific questions and the research process. At the same time, interacting with students continuously opens up new perspectives and provides fresh inspiration for my own research.”

Special thanks go not only to the students but also to the entire chair team, particularly Johanna Grad, for her dedicated support of the lecture.

The official award ceremony will take place on 27 November 2026 as part of the University of Hohenheim's Teaching Day (Tag der Lehre).
